Enthought Pore Pressure Prediction
The Enthought Pore Pressure Prediction application lets you calibrate your prediction model with known well-log data. You can then apply that model to predict pressures based on 2-D and 3-D seismic data, using prediction algorithms such as Eaton, Bowers, or Eberhart-Phillips/Han/Zoback.
Automation
The application automates many of the steps that are typically involved in pressure analysis. The application can:
- Create overburden from hand-edited density.
- Detect sand/shale lithology.
- Fit a normal compaction trend (NCT) curve to porosity data.
- Create pseudo-wells.
1-D Calibration
The application automatically calculates pressure curves that you can then refine. You can:
- Change calculation parameters.
- Modify the curves on which the calculation is based, such as NCT or sand/shale lines.
- Quickly perform as many refinement iterations as you need to arrive at a satisfactory result.
2-D and 3-D Prediction
The application supports applying the prediction model from the 1-D data to 2-D and 3-D data. You can:
- Import seismic data in SEGY or ASCII format.
- Smooth or correct seismic velocities.
- View and adjust NCT at arbitrary locations.
- Fit NCT curves automatically, without well control.
- View a cross section along an inline, a crossline, or an arbitrary slice through a cube, for pressure, fracture gradient, or velocity.
- Export fracture gradients, pressures, or raw data.
